8 Day trip from Casablanca to Rabat
Tours starting at: $2900 per person
Itinerary
Day 1
Upon arrival into Casablanca, you will be met on the tarmac by a local representative and escorted through Customs and Immigration, avoiding any queues along the way.
Our local representative will provide you with your travel documents and go over the itinerary in great detail. You will be privately transferred between Casablanca and Rabat by a professional driver and an English-speaking guide. Approximate travel time is one hour and 30 minutes.
DAY 2
RABAT TO FES
The Medina of Rabat is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site and is also the site of the ruins of an unfinished mosque that – as originally planned – would have been the largest in the world. Rabat is also an excellent city for shopping with a number of curios, craft-shops and marketplaces throughout the city. A private vehicle with English speaking driver will provide a transfer between Rabat and Fes.
DAY 3
FES
Also known as Fes el Bali, this UNESCO World Heritage Site was founded in the 9th century and is also home to the world’s oldest university, founded in 859 CE. Although the political capital of Morocco was transferred to Rabat in 1912, Fes has retained its status as the country’s artisan center.
DAY 4
FES
This afternoon set out to tour the labyrinthine souks of Fes with your private guide. Among the many shops and stalls are artisan workshops and studios where traditional skills, passed down by Moorish émigrés from Andalusia for generations, are still practiced by master craftsmen.
DAY 5
FES TO MARRAKECH
Travel in a privately driven vehicle from Fes to Marrakech, making a lunch stop en-route. Explore the rugged terrain of the Middle Atlas Mountain range, boasting towering cliff faces, and incredible passes. Drive by the scenic Berber villages of Immouzer de Kandar and the university town of Ifrane for a glimpse into rural living in Morocco.
DAY 6
MARRAKECH
The sweeping and dynamic history of Marrakech – an imperial capital in centuries past – is best appreciated with the help of a private guide. With 18 souks selling a dizzying array of handicrafts, textiles, spices, foods, electronics, antiques and everything in between, the souks of Marrakech are the perfect place to find a keepsake to bring home, or to simply get in touch with day-to-day life in the Red City.
DAY 7
MARRAKECH
Enjoy a guided walking tour through the Gardens of Majorelle, an oasis in the city featuring an impressive collection of cacti, exotic plants and unique tree species carefully placed to emphasize their beauty.
DAY 8
MARRAKECH TO CASABLANCA
A private vehicle with an English speaking driver will provide a transfer between Marrakech and Casablanca.
