Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival in Beijing
Welcome to join our Beijing Xi’an Guilin Shanghai tour! After reclaiming your luggage at Beijing airport, you will be met by your guide outside customs. You will then be escorted to the hotel. Now some free time for you to rest and recover from the plane ride.
Your first stop is Tiananmen Square, from where you can walk to the Forbidden City. Upon arrival at the largest imperial palace, travelers are always impressed by the high red walls and large quantity of buildings with golden roofs.
In the afternoon, you will visit the Temple of Heaven, which was where the emperors of the Ming and Qing dynasties worshipped the Gods of Heaven.
Day 3: Beijing
Visit the Mutianyu Great Wall. The round-trip cable car is included. We will specially provide red wine for a group-toasting on the Great Wall. In the afternoon, we will drive you back to downtown and you will enjoy some free time at a local market.
Day 4: Beijing – Xian
Visit the Summer Palace. Then have a photo stop at the Olympic National Stadium (Bird’s Nest). Afterwards, you will take a rickshaw tour to explore the original Hutong alleys and have a chance to try your hand at Chinese Paper Cutting. After that, take a flight to Xi’an and check in at the hotel.
Day 5: Xian
Today you will be driven to the suburb area to marvel at the powerful Qin Terracotta Army for the whole morning. After that, continue your exploration to the Small Wild Goose Pagoda & Xi’an Museum. Tonight, you will be invited to a traditional dumpling dinner and a splendid Tang Dynasty Music and Dance Show.
Day 6: Xian
After breakfast, we will first head to the City Wall Park, a popular venue for local people to relax and take part in various activities. Take a one-hour Tai Chi practice and visit the ancient City Wall. In the afternoon, visit Shaanxi History Museum, known as ‘the pearl of Xi’an, the treasury of China’.
Day 7: Xian – Guilin
A morning flight will take you to Guilin where you will meet your local guide who will then take you to the hotel. After checking in and a short rest, you will have a half day sightseeing trip to the Reed Flute Cave and the Elephant Trunk Hill.
Day 8: Guilin – Yangshuo – Guilin
Enduring memories are created as you cruise down the Li River to Yangshuo. Li River is the essence of landscape in this area. After that, you will be driven to the countryside of Yangshuo to soak up the amazing rural scenery. Along the way, you will pay a visit to a local villager’s home.
Day 9: Guilin – Shanghai
This morning we will transfer you to Guilin airport for your flight to Shanghai, the last stop of your 11 days guided tour of China. Upon arrival you will find your local guide is waiting for you outside the baggage claim area of the airport to take you to the hotel. The remainder of the day is left free for you.
Day 10: Shanghai
Today’s trip will start at Shanghai Museum which specializes in ancient art works of China, especially bronze ware, chinaware, calligraphies and paintings. Later, take a trip to the classical Yu Garden and its surrounding traditional bazaar.
Around noon, enjoy an a la carte farewell lunch of authentic Shanghai cuisine at a well reputed restaurant.
After lunch, you will have a walking tour in the Former French Concession to learn about Shanghai’s colonial history. Then you will be guided to the Bund area and have a short cruise tour along the Huangpu River. Enjoy some free time on the Bund.
Day 11: Departure from Shanghai
After breakfast, you may check out the hotel and arrange the transfer to the airport by yourself.
